UPDATE: Player/Casting FIX Updated for All Versions [2/28]
NEW UPDATE: 2/28/26 • 12:32 PM PST
Hey everyone,
We've finished up testing with the Beta Player and have rolled out the fixes/updates to all player versions across the site. We're still working through a few unusual cases, so if you run into any issues, please let us know your device, browser, and Chromecast name and version.
A Quick heads-up on the Cast Icon:
The cast icon will only pop up if a compatible Chromecast is available and ready to stream.
Some newer Chromecast devices limit casting to a specific list of approved websites.
If your Chromecast doesn't recognize our site as an approved source, it won't show up as a target, and the cast button won't appear in the player.
This is controlled by the Chromecast device itself, and it's not something we can change on our end with the web player settings.
Based on our testing, older Chromecast models might not be as strict about this, which explains why you might see different behavior across different devices.
Seriously, a huge thanks again for all your help troubleshooting! Our tech partner mentioned how incredibly helpful the info from our Community has been in narrowing things down. It actually helped them figure out that the issue was bigger than just the Fitness Blender setup—it was affecting many other sites! So, thank you so much for paying attention and for your patience while we sorted this out.
We still have a few device/browser combinations we're chipping away at, and we'll keep working hard to get those resolved.
Our technology partner has rolled out an update to the Ads Free Beta Player for testing. To use this player, please go to your account page (https://www.fitnessblender.com/my/account) and change your Video Player Preference to "Ad Free Beta", then select "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
Let us know if you can try out Chromecasting from your Android device. We have verified that Desktop + Chrome browser + Chrome cast is working.
Thank you again for your continued patience as work moves forward on the casting issue.
Our technology partner reports that they have found a solution and are preparing to deploy the fix for testing. We do not have exact ETA for the release and testing. While we don't know what the test results will yield, progress is being made and we have the FULL attention and support of our partner working on resolution. We will update everyone as soon as we receive any new information.
In the meantime some users have reported success with screen mirroring if that is an option for you as well as plugging directly into your TV/Screen.
Thank you again for your patience and for being part of Fitness Blender.
Thank you for your patience as we continue working on the casting issue.
Our technology partner has completed further testing and confirmed that this is not account specific or device specific, and removing the Chromecast plugin and reimplementing it from scratch did not resolve the issue. The issue is now being treated as a potential bug across all their partners rather than a configuration problem with just Fitness Blender and has been escalated to their Engineering team for review and prioritization.
We know how important casting is, and we understand how frustrating this has been. We’ll share updates as soon as we have more information.
We are aware of an issue where multiple FB Plus members have been unable to see the casting icon since last Saturday (February 14th). We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.
We are actively working with our video technology partner to resolve this as quickly as possible.
What we know so far:
Affected users seem to be primarily using Samsung or Google Pixel devices.
Specific examples reported include:
Samsung Galaxy S24 with Chrome, casting to Chromecast (Android version REV1.0).
Samsung S25+ with Chrome 145 (Android version 16).
Samsung Galaxy A15 with Google Chrome.
Samsung Galaxy S23 with Chrome 145.0.7632.75.
Google pixel 9a with Google browser, casting to Chromecast or Google TV streamer 4k.
We encourage you to share in the comments if you are experiencing this on other devices.
Current Status:
Our technology partner has successfully replicated the issue and has identified a potential fix, which they are now beginning to implement.
In the meantime, we recommend:
Plugging your device directly into your TV or monitor.
Using non-casting viewing options.
Thank you for your patience as our partner works on the resolution, and thanks for working out with us!
