You may have noticed our growing library of walking workouts. These workouts are inspired by steps, but make them 10x more fun and dynamic! Walking workouts involve the whole body, get you moving multi-directionally, and through various ranges of motion. They engage your brain (in a non-draining way), steadily boost your heart rate, and their repetitive, semi-rhythmic nature is simply fun! Well, these workouts (and more) have made their way into our first ever Walking Workout Program!
In this 4-week program, you'll complete 3 walking workouts each week - but it doesn't end there! To make your training experience more comprehensive and to offset the cardio nature of walking workouts, there will be 2 strength training workouts each week in between the walking days. For every strength day, you'll get to take your pick between a longer/harder workout or a shorter/easier workout. There are other fun training types that show up as well!
A variety of benefits can come from doing this program. You're guaranteed to move your body in new ways, engaging your mind-body connection and coordination. You'll improve heart, lung, and circulatory health while strengthening your muscular system and increasing mobility. Whether you're looking to get back into a consistent workout routine, looking to switch up your current one, or want to learn more about your body while maintaining total body conditioning, you're going to find success here!
To go a step further, Haley contributed 4 meditations that will be offered each week. The incorporation of these was inspired by something called MAP Training (Mental and Physical Training). It's proven to show benefits with anxiety, depression, sleep, quality of life, perceived stress, and more. It's a protocol combining sessions of focused attention meditation, walking meditation, and cardiovascular exercise each week. More details on this and the whole program can be found on the program homepage!

I enjoyed building the first of this new kind of program and can't wait to see you in some of the workouts alongside most of the trainer team! 🌟
