Hi there, Pals! How are you today? It’s raining again… This is a very strange month. I mean, normally it’s warm with the occasional thunder storm but the temperature is like a roller coaster now. I don’t really mind cool nights as I can sleep a lot better.
But enough of the idle chit-chat and let’s talk about exercise. I started doing Advanced Strength with Brian again because I really like working out with him. He has this calming presence. 😊 Plus, when I work out with either Daniel or Brian, I don’t get annoyed with myself for having to use lighter weights. That being said, I like working out with all our lovely trainers.
Let’s moving on to our fact-finder fragment. Today it’s connected to the photo I attached. This is what I got a couple of days ago. My very first jar of maple syrup from Canada (well, not directly). The taste reminds me of a lollipop I used to love when I was a kid so instant like. 😊 So, have you ever wondered why maple syrup bottles have such tiny handles? Traditionally, maple syrup was store in huge salt-glazed stoneware: big ceramic jugs with equally large handle. When manufacturers in the early 1970s found a type of plastic that could survive the syrup being poured in at 85 ℃ they created their new an imported bottles in the image of the older containers. When they scaled down the size, they also scaled down the handles leaving them much too small to be held by even the smallest of hands. Have you heard of the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist in 2011? 540,000 gallons of maple syrup were stolen from a factory in Quebec.
All right, Pals, I need to go now, have a nice day and don’t steal maple syrup.
