HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group November 21st

Hello, lovelies, and Happy Thursday! Hope you are all doing well, I've been pretty absent this week but, boy, were you chatty in Tuesday's PPals, love to see it. It's not a good week for me, winter is truly hitting me in the plexus and I have yet to do a workout beside walking. I'll probably be a weekend warrior this week and that's fine.

We're currently enjoying our first bit of snow for the year. It's one of those that melts really fast and makes the street disgusting so I am not enthusiastic since I have to walk to work and drivers tend to be dinguses about splashing people. What a ray of sunshine I am!

On Tuesday I mentioned going to see Gladiator II and a couple of people mentioned they'd be interested in hearing my opinion. Well, my opinion is "enh". It had many impressive action set pieces but there wasn't much story tying them together. I watched the first one last Saturday so it's very fresh in my mind, it's such a contained story sold by incredible performances.

Paul Mescal is no Russel Crowe, Pedro Pascal and Connie Nielsen were weirdly stilted (I found her so compelling in Gladiator and Pedro has had my heart since Game of Thrones) and the historical liberties really started to bother me. Denzel was great, absolute saving grace of the entire thing. He's just the coolest guy but I'll rewatch American Gangster with bonus Russel Crowe, before I rewatch Gladiator II, many times over. In conclusion, save it for a barely historical movie night at home. If you want an action movie that also has a story, I must remind you that "Monkey Man" exists.

Ok, now that I've fulfilled my dream of becoming a movie critic, I must be off. Hope everyone has an excellent day!
